About Dr. Comparini

Dr. Silvia O. Comparini showed unique promise early on when she graduated Valedictorian from Santiago College in Santiago, Chile. She attended the Catholic University of Chile Medical School and received her medical degree in 1967.

Arriving in the United States in 1968 she headed for an internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York. She went on to specialize in Forensic Pathology, holding Medical Examiner and Forensic Pathologist posts in major metropolitan areas on both the east and west coasts. She served 21 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lt. Colonel after a distinguished tour of duty.

She has performed over 6,300 autopsies and witnessed and/or supervised more than an additional 12, 000 autopsies. She has conducted 1,000 homicide scene investigations and given expert witness testimony in over 650 criminal, civil and military trials and given over 85 depositions.

She has published extensively and is a frequent lecturer at professional society conventions and symposiums.

Dr. Comparini's extensive forensic background contributes to the extremely diverse talents of the GPMG team.
